"Dilemma" Tie-Up!

With the release of her 3rd album last week, "Dilemma" will be receiving a tie-in! "Dilemma" will be used during the month of October as TBS Radio's "recommended song of the month". TBS Radio has therefore stated that the song will be on heavy play during the month of October.

With the release of her 3rd album less than 2 weeks away, Takahashi's official site has been updated with a variety of lives.

First off Takahashi will be performing live at viBirhxCINRA present "exPop!!!!! Volume54" on September 29th.

Takahashi will also be performing live at PATi PATi・PATi★ACT・GiRLPOP's "Lazona Kawasaki Plaza 5th Anniversary Fes." ~Ongaku de Egao wo! -MUSIC For SMILE-~. The event takes place on October 2nd.

Twitter Closed

Takahashi has recently closed her Twitter account. She also mentions in her blog that she will be updating her blog irregularly from now on.

New Album "PICORINPIN"

Though just releasing her 13th single "Poolside" yesterday, it has been announced that Takahashi will be releasing her 3rd album titled "PICORINPIN" on September 28th. As her 2nd album, this album will come in the CD only and CD+DVD formats.

2011 One Man Live

After 3 years, Takahashi will be holding a one man live on October 20th known as "Takahashi Hitomi LIVE 2011". The live will be held at Shibuya WWW, and those in her fan club will be able to purchase tickets early.

Gintama Live + Official Site Renewal

First off, Takahashi's official site has finally updated with a new layout to reflect the release of her new single "Poolside".

Secondly, Takahashi will be participating in a live tentatively known as "Gintama Sakuramatsuri". As you may or may not recall, Takahashi's songs "Candy Line" and "Wo Ai Ni" were both used for the anime. The live will take place on August 21st.

The music video for "Poolside" has been released! As such, I've updated the side video from "MUSIC" to "Poolside".

"Poolside" Tie-up!

With the release of "Poolside" in less than a week, the title song has been giving a tie-up as the opening theme song for the TV show "SHOWBIZ COUNTDOWN".

TAKUYA Birthday Live 2011

On September 9th, Takahashi will be participating in the "TAKUYA Birthday Live 2011"! For those who do not remember, TAKUYA produced all of her singles from "Communication" to "Tsuyoku Nare", and was her producer for her second album "Bamboo Collage".

Mini-Live for "Poolside"

In support of her new single, Takahashi will be holding a mini-live at Shibuya's Tower Records store on August 24th. Only those who buy the CD at the store will be able to participate, it seems. Otherwise, the event is free and will start at 7pm.

Also, if "Poolside" is bought at certain stores, it appears that the CD will come with a special sticker.

Today, the online news site Natalie posted a news article concerning Takahashi's upcoming single "Poolside". Along with information, the article contained the single coverart! The first one is the CD+DVD, and the second is CD only.



Below is a translation of the article:

Takahashi Hitomi & H ZETT M will release a collaboration single "Poolside" on July 27th under the name "Takahashi Hitomi "Hello" H ZETT M".
In 2009 with the BEAT CRUSADERS, last year with ROLLY, and February of this year Takahashi released the iLL produced single "MUSIC" that was used as the image song for a spin-off movie. This time she continues with H ZETT M famous as the "keyboard magician to make a strong collaboration.
Lyrics for the title song are a Takahashi and H ZETT M collaboration. The contents are of a woman just having become an adult, while looking back at the past, feels expectation to the future and anxiety - it's one life-size song for the Takahashi of now. The music and arrangement could be satisfied with the piano arrangement of H ZETT M.
H ZETT M took charge of the music and arrangement of the coupling track "Watashi no Otome", and of the arrangement of the "KURAGE-DROP". The limited edition is bundled with a DVD that contains the music video for "Poolside".

"JUNGLE LIFE" Interview

Takahashi is will be appearing in the free magazine "JUNGLE LIFE" on sale July 1st. In the interview, she will be speaking of her work with H ZETT M and her new single "Poolside".

In interesting news, it seems that Takahashi filmed the music video for her new single in Taiwan's capital city Taipei, making it her first video to be filmed overseas. Also, H ZETT M will be in the video as well. The two will apparently be "battling" throughout the video.

The single is produced by H ZETT M, who is the former pianist of Tokyo Jihen and the present pianist of PE'Z. The single also includes Hitomi's first effort at writing music with the song"KURAGE-DROP". Lyrics of "Poolside" are about an adult woman looking back on her childhood while looking forward to the future.

More Recording

Like last week, Takahashi has confirmed in her blog that she has been in the studio recording new music. She also mentions that she will be doing the same next week as well. With this much recording, perhaps the new album will be out soon.

New Song Recorded

According to Takahashi's most recently blog post, she recently finished recording new music. Whether it was one song or more isn't said, but hopefully we'll hear news about her third album soon.

"Dilemma" Streaming to Start

The streaming of the acoustic version of "Dilemma" is set to start at midnight today (Japan time). The song can be accessed on the "Top" portion of her Official Site. Also, a new tidbit of information has been released. The song is a joint effort between Hitomi and BEAT CRUSADER's Hidaka Tooru. Hitomi previously worked with BEAT CRUSADER's on her single "Wo Ai Ni".

"NORTH WAVE" Radio Guest

On the 22nd of April, Hitomi will appear as a guest on the live satellite studio broadcast of the radio program "NORTH WAVE". According to her site, she will be discussing her recent single "MUSIC", the musical "Pink Spider", and her plans for the future.

Hitomi will be appearing on the program at around 1:10pm Japan time.

3rd Album on the Way

The blog for radio program "Kakiin" has updated and revealed that Hitomi's 3rd album will finally be released around summer of this year! The new song "Dilemma" is apparently being used as a promotional song for the album. Also, starting sometime in April, Hitomi's official site will be streaming the acoustic version of "Dilemma".

Congratulations Hitomi!

Despite "Bokutachi no Yukue" and "Aozora no Namida" being released in 2005, recently the two songs have been certified Gold by RIAJ for full downloads of over 100,000. This is definitely good news after the poor performance of her last two singles.

Hitomi to Debut New Song

On March 30th at 9:30pm, Hitomi will appear on the radio program "Kakiiin" as a special guest. She will be premiering a new song as well, so be sure to check it out!

"MUSIC" Ranking

In rather disappointing news, Hitomi's new single "MUSIC" ranked #200 on the Weekly Oricon Charts. This is her lowest ranking so far, beating "Koisuru Pierotti", which debuted at #128 on the weekly charts.

Once again, Hitomi will appear as a guest on the radio program "Kakiiin" on February 16th at 9:30pm.
